Winter Club Championships Eligibility
Men’s / Women’s & Masters (40+) Winter Season Champion: You must be a registered member of the Richmond Harriers when a race is held to be eligible to score points. There is no minimum events requirement. The winner is determined by the person who accumulates the most points through the season.
Points are awarded based on every runners 5 best individual XCR results. Points are awarded each using the following points system:
- 1st Richmond Harrier: 20 points
- 2nd: 16 points
- 3rd: 13 points
- 4th: 11 points
- 5th: 10 points
- and so on at 1 point increments.
In addition, runners accumulate extra points for participating in club events and XCR relays. A maximum of 15 points are available for participation in AV relay events (5 points per race). Furthermore, a maximum of 10 points are available for participation in club events (5 per club event i.e. do 2 club events to get max points).
Outrun Yourself Award:
This award is open to all runners at the club – both AV participants and recreational runners.
Points are awarded at all winter season races, club races as well as AV events, based on how runners perform against their predicted (handicap) time.
Predicted times are set for all runners ahead of each race by our team of Handicappers on the committee. These are generally based on a runner past performances in a similar event or distance (or failing this Strava stalking / vibes).
Points are awarded based on how runners perform against their predicted time (with 1st place in each race going to the runner who beats their handicap by the most time). In each race the points system is as follows:

Summer Club Championships Eligibility
Athletes need to have completed a minimum of 50% of rounds in a shield season and the top 6 events are counted (with no requirement of having completed a relay). Whilst Victorian and national championship events can improve on your seasons best, events that you have not done at shield can not contribute to your points tally.
